Focusing on real world experiences and modern field medical techniques, you will learn how to effectively assess an injured patient (that might be you!), stop the bleeding, start the breathing and treat for hypothermic shock. Building on the skills learned in Life Saving 1, you will work on wound stabilization, treatment of common injuries and building effective emergency plans. Then you will test your skills in several practical scenarios, working as an individual and with a group, to handle realistic wounds and injuries on our role players. An expanded version of the Stop The Bleed program from BleedingControl.org and the National Stop The Bleed Campaign, our 2 hour class is all hands-on with tourniquet applications, wound packing and how to put an effective every day carry kit together. All training supplies are included.
