The class starts with a look into how women are targeted in physical assaults along with real-world examples.
Instructors and students discuss how they can identify and avoid potential threats during their everyday routines, including walking with cell phones, being followed in dark parking lots, and attacked in close-quarters (I.E. between cars).
Jiu-Jitsu fundamentals are introduced including techniques for avoiding being pushed to the ground, chokes, hair grabs, and escaping wrist grabs. All techniques are demonstrated, and students practice them with both students and instructors.
Victim or Victor ends with students stringing together the techniques they learned and mastering them through repetition. The class completes with demonstrations of advanced techniques performed in Level 2 classes. Take-home materials include a curriculum overview, technique infographic and a certificate of completion.
Students are encouraged to continue the discussions and practice self-defense techniques at home. Level 2 classes are available, so you can extend your personal training. Learn More about Level 2 by clicking here..
