The class starts with a look into how women are targeted in physical assaults along with real-world examples.
Instructors and students discuss how they can identify and avoid potential threats during their everyday routines, including walking with cell phones, being followed in dark parking lots, and attacked in close-quarters (I.E. between cars).

  • Middle

Jiu-Jitsu fundamentals are introduced including techniques for avoiding being pushed to the ground, chokes, hair grabs, and escaping wrist grabs.  All techniques are demonstrated, and students practice them with both students and instructors.

The class completes with demonstrations of advanced techniques performed in Level 2 classes. Take-home materials include a curriculum overview, technique infographic and a certificate of completion.
