Description:
Introduction to Victim Proof: Victim or Victor? (Co-Ed) is a non-firearm self-defense course.  This class offers a combination of situation awareness and hands-on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for self defense.  Students learn to defend against, subdue and incapacitate an attacker.  This Co-Ed course allows men and women the ability to train side-by-side against real-world threats in a professional environment.  Victim or Victor is intended for students of all ages, sizes, and strengths.  When completing this course you will achieve a heightened sense of awareness and unwavering self-confidence.

Course Length

The class duration is 1.5 hours.  Please arrive 15 minutes early to your scheduled start.

Requirements

This is a co-ed class (women's versions are available here).  Students must be at least 18 years of age.  Athletic attire is required.  No jeans allowed.

We recommend you enroll with a friend or family member, so your training and discussions continues outside of the classroom.

What to Expect

This class may discuss sensitive topics including abduction, sexual or domestic violence, physical attacks, attacks with weapons, and active shooter situations.  Role playing, self-defense demonstrations, hands-on excercises and medium degree of physical activity.

CURRICULUM BREAKDOWN

  • Beggining 

    The class starts with look into the most common physical assaults with real-world examples.  
    Instructors and students discuss how they can identify and avoid potential threats during their everyday routines.

  • Middle

    Students role-play through common threats and attacks.  Self-defense techniques are demonstrated, and students practice these techniques through various drills.

  • Completion

    Victim or Victor ends with students stringing together the techniques they learned and mastering them through repetition. The class completes with demonstrations of advanced techniques to be learned in a future session. Take-home materials include a curriculum overview, technique infographic and a certificate of completion.

  • Post Class

    Students are encouraged to continue the discussions and practice self-defense techniques at home. Level 2 classes are available, so you can extend your training and learn defensive strategies for even the most aggressive attacks.  Learn More.
